Jesus said to love your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. Sadly, our religion is what we tend to do instead of that.
I don’t get it B.J, why are you saying that?
I’m just saying that we easily stray away from the simplicity of loving God and being like Him, in favor of whatever religious practice we feel justifies us. For instance, I can get up and do my devotions in the morning, listen to my Christian radio station on the way to work, have my scripture of the day posted by my desk, and feel as though I’m living for Jesus. But unless I’m actually engaging Him and allowing Him to engage others through me, am I really living the great commandment. It’s not that those other things aren’t good, but they’re not at the heart of what He’s called us to.
