Subliminal
It’s all very subtle isn’t it?
It seems more civilized that way
None of that messy confrontation
No harsh words
Nothing in writing
Everything between the lines
Like chasing a shadow
It makes them wonder if they’re losing their minds
It’s a little snare here & there
It’s a consideration withheld
Or maybe just a tone of voice
It’s the smallest thing you can get under their skin
It’s pretending not to know
And a willingness to use what you do know
It’s mental chess
And you get to be the pawn
It’s the most effective way to fight
It’s corrosion instead of attack
War is so much more destructive when it doesn’t make a sound
